The best part of my job is seeing the impact that our work has on the most marginalised communities in India and Nepal. Water is the most basic of human needs, and rights, so the cascading developments that it brings is phenomenal. Women and girls bear the brunt of unsafe or lack of water, so seeing how it enables them to flourish is always emotional.

Get on and do your thing - don't waste time or sleepless nights comparing your business/work to others in the sector. Keep them close and be aware, but don't let it slow you down or get you down.

So many, I've been lucky to experience so much kindness but one very simple thing I will always remember, was when I was struggling to get to an appointment on time, with three children under the age of three in tow. I went to pay for parking and discovered that I had forgotten my wallet, it was the last straw. The only person around, a man who was just walking back to his car, turned and saw me panicking and came straight over, put three one pound coins in my hand and went hardly giving me time to thank him. Knowing how much that helped me, whenever I can, I pay this gesture forward.

Smile and the world smiles with you - I think it's from a poem or a song but a woman who used to help on our farm when I was born, and means a great deal to me, gave me a framed picture of Snoopy with this quote and I had it on my door for all of my childhood - I've recently given it to my eldest daughter and I do think that reminder every morning to smile, does a great deal for your own personal wellbeing as well as everyone around you.

Yvon Chouinard - environmentalist and founder of Patagonia - I'm fascinated by his journey, how he realised his business was causing damage to the very places he loved and wanted people to explore and how he changed the model to do better. I want to explore his 'Do Good' philosophy with him and would love to hear about his expeditions.
Pinky Lilani - I have had the absolute pleasure of dining with Pinky before and sincerely hope it happens again. Pinky is full of brilliant stories of people and places, she cares deeply and is fascinated by everyone she meets, passing inspiring stories and her insights from person to person. I always come away feeling valued and uplifted.
